For nine long months, I’ve been the only pube on this on this blog. It’s been tough going it alone, but no more!
All of a sudden Lifestyle Design For You has seen a spike in testosterone levels resulting in seven new pubes sprouting over night. Together we’ll provide you with more content for you to nourish your minds and lives with.
This isn’t a formal partnership; it’s just being done the spirit of cooperation and friendship. We believe this arrangement will be of mutual benefit to one another.
So let me introduce the team to you.
Meet the pubes.
Gordie Rogers
That’s me. I was born a Kiwi and will die a Kiwi, or possibly an Aussie. As you probably know by now, I’ve been breathing Tianjin pollution for the last seven years in China while teaching English, mainly at university level. I plan to move back to New Zealand in July 2010.
Srinivas Rao
Srinivas is convinced he’s one of only a very small number Indian surfers in the world. He currently resides in Los Angeles and runs two awesome blogs: The Skool of Life, which is a lifestyle design blog and Stoked For Life, which is a surfing blog.
Tanner Maluchnik
This guy only came onto my radar a couple of weeks ago. He runs an awesome lifestyle design blog called Life Destiny. Judging by his Facebook photo he’s a real lady-killer. He’s only 23 and is studying information science at Penn State University.
Michael Fletcher
Michael is a man who shaved his head. He moved to Johannesburg, South Africa to experience the excitement of living in the world’s most crime-ridden city. He’s a personal development and meditation fiend. You can find him on Monetize Your Life.
Jimi Jones
This guy’s just so lovable. He’s an entrepreneur who has worked for NASA in the past and may have been responsible for the fake moon landing rumors. I think I’ve seen him in several movies as Will Smith’s and Morgan Freeman’s stunt double. You can find him at the Online Business Blog.
Jonny Gibaud
He’s just crazy. He’s done what most people aspire to do. In his early twenties he has managed to quit the rat race and move to Thailand. He’s truly designing his life and has an awesome blog called The Life Thing. He’s like a real life Indiana Jones and Mary Poppins all rolled into one.
Armen Shirvanian
The first time I saw this guy was in a video on his blog. I swore he had ants in his pants and was high on something. He was just so full of energy. He has a decent sense of humor and has the number one personal development blog with the word “timeless” in the title. Check him out at Timeless Information.
Kevin Tea
Kevin lives in Cumbria, England. In 2009 he was voted Britain’s sexiest man (by me). He’s done it all from advising on the set up of the European Union to becoming an expert on cloud computing. He also loves cooking and romantic walks on the beach. Check out his blog Web2 and More.
“Yo! Where da women at?”
You’ll notice that currently there are only guys on the team here. It just worked out that way. However, if any of these guys gets hit by a bus, I’ll be more than happy to have a female replacement.
You can check out the official profiles of the team members here.
In the mean time I hope you enjoy what the team delivers to you in 2010.
Happy New Year!

Hey Gordie.
It is cool to be part of the set here. It is like I am on this soccer team, except it is a writing team.
Thanks for the description there, and I look to continue maintaining that energy. The day I don’t have that high energy at some time during the day, you can call me by a different name like Joe or Chris.
Cool stuff.

Hey Armen,
It’s a pleasure to have you aboard. You’re a scholar and a gentleman. When you lose your energy, I’ll call you “Todd”.
Hey Gordie, I didn’t know you were a Kiwi. Shit man, that makes us neighbours. Where abouts in NZ are you from?
Anyway, I need to check out these other dudes to make sure they’re all up to scratch. Not today though mate. I reckon I will have to wait until it cools down some. It’s 39c today and 41c tomorrow and there is no aircocn in my office.
Sire´s last blog ..Embracing The Difference In Fellow Bloggers
Hey Sire,
I was born and grew up in Auckland till I was 20. I then moved to Invercargill for 5 years and then studied at Otago University in Dunedin before moving abroad.
Just two days ago I decided that when I move back to NZ next year, I’ll settle in Dunedin. In future, if you come across, you can couch surf at my place, mate.
Hope you at least have a fan in your office. Happy New Year!
Man, I’ve been to Invercargill. My best friends were teachers at the high school there and I spent a week there for a holiday. It was the first time I’ve ever seen snow.
I’ve also been to Dunedin. The thing that sticks in my mind there was all the steep streets.
Sire´s last blog ..Embracing The Difference In Fellow Bloggers
That’s the reason I chose Dunedin over Invercargill. I want to be able to walk up and down hills again. I’m become bored of living in flat cities. Good for my weight loss too.
Good grief – that’s quite a stable you’ve assembled there Gordie! Looking forward to the output!

Hey Gordie,
thanks for the intro. You promised not to spill the beans on that moon landing, now the science community will be all upset.
To my teammates – I am sincerely happy to be a part of this unit and look forward to a very productive 2010 for us all.
Wishing you all the best, gentlemen!

Hey Jimi,
It’s cool your wife agreed to letting you come aboard after you agreed to do the dishes for every meal for a year. Lol!
Here’s to 2010!
My word that’s a good looking bunch of bloggers!! Thanks for inviting me along for the ride. Let’s hope 2010 sees us all reaching our goals.

We are handsome, aren’t we?
Guess that at my advanced age I am the first grey pube! My biggest concentration on lifestyle design is now to regenrerate my knee caps and other bits without having a bolt through my neck and getting scared of violin music

Kevin Tea´s last blog ..Cloud Computing And Lifestyle design
Lol! Great to have you on board, Kevin.
Gordie, this is brilliant! What an amazing group of bloggers! I know about half of them already, and look forward to getting to know the rest… and reading your collective creations.
I guess it’s best you don’t have any ladies on the team yet… not sure how many would have liked to be known as “pubes”.
Perfect headline, btw!!
Thanks, Lisis.
Loved your interview with Seth Godin by the way.
You have a great team there Gordie – Nice mix
The intros were so funny
Hey John,
Yeah, I think we have an interesting mix of bloggers from all different backgrounds. Will be interesting to see how it goes.
Congrats on assembling such a great team!! This is going to be great for the site in 2010!
Erica Mueller´s last blog ..Gettin’ the Bliss On in 2010
Thank you, Erica.
I know your blogs will be growing in 2010. Interested to see how your local classified site goes.
Love the intros and the post, Gordie! You got quite the sense of humor as we know.
I look forward to meeting The Team, the wonderful readers you have gathered here at Lifestyle Design For You, and to a continued friendship with you, Gordie.
Hope everyone has a wonderful New Year!
Tanner Maluchnik´s last blog ..Health Supplement Series: Health Benefits of Apple Cider Vinegar Video
Hey Tanner,
I’m excited about it.
Happy New Year!
What a bunch, like the usual suspects! Only kidding, strong team you have here, some of which I have worked with already.
Great team and good luck, FYI you need a female writer STAT
Hi James,
I’m pretty shy when it comes to approaching women. I find I just have to wait for them to approach me, a bit like the sand spider.
Happy New Year!
Wow, what a great assemblage of people Gordie! How did you do it? Did you just ask them to join your team?
How do you determine which posts go up and from whom? The logistics fascinate me.
Best, Sam
Financial Samurai´s last blog ..Everything Is Rational – The Answer To All Things Irrational
Hi Sam,
I just emailed some people and told them about my idea and asked them to come aboard. I’ve got the posting schedule for January already done and it looks like a new post should be able to go up nearly every weekday.
Happy New Year.
Impressive! Not sure if I want to go the every weekday route yet on my site. With such a small market share, I find it takes time for people to discover a post and then comment. People tend to comment less after the post becomes second which is a shame.
Great initiative on getting the conglomeration going! I’m looking for one or maybe two solid contributors, but no more.
Cheers, Sam
Financial Samurai´s last blog ..Creating A Masterpiece By Failing Forward
I will post two week days a week while the other team members will be posted on the three other week days. So, that means that my blog should have one new post go up nearly every weekday. Most of the team members are committed to two posts a month while a couple are committed to once per month. I think for LD and PD blogs, one post per day is enough for the readers. The readers need time to read and absorb the information.
Hey Gordie. Your pictures always crack me up.
Like Lisis said, this is an amazing group of writers. It’s awesome how everybody comes from different parts of the world, but can collaborate to sharing friendship and working together to contribute to the world. It will be a better place in 2010 thanks to this cast.
Thank you, Hulbert.
I also think it’s cool haow we’re all from such a varied background. THie Internet makes it quite easy to pull any group together now.
Happy New Year.
Good Luck and Success for all your team!
All the best!
Boris
Cheers, Boris.
Hope you have a great 2010!
Excellent work Gordie.
I’ve been putting a team together myself, but not nearly as formally as you have here.
2010 is going to rock!
Dave Doolin´s last blog ..Life is Short. What Do You Have to Show for Yourself?
Happy New Year, Dave!
2010 is a big year for me. In July I’m moving back to New Zealand after having left there in 2002. I’m excited and nervous. I’m going to start a business there.
I think it’s going be an exciting year in the blogosphere in general. Let’s have a great one!
Gordie – found you and your blog – well, OK, just your blog through Dave’s site!
Glad you addressed the female issue as I was wondering – Why the heck are there no women on this list….must we shave our head and move to Johannesburg to be considered? (his spot is most likely to be vacant soon – LOL JK!)
I am looking forward to reading posts from the other guys and have now put your blog onto my 2010 blog list that I’ve created.
Michelle Mangen´s last blog ..Really? I have 5 billion Twitter followers?

Happy New Year!
As long as you don’t tell the bad people where I am I should be okay

Hi Annabel,
In some of the shots you could actually see hair that you weren’t supposed to be able to see.
The pic was fun to shoot!
Wait, this means I am actually going to start planning blog posts right, drat I should have thought this through.

Charm? Gordie that pic of you isn’t so charming. lol
Anyhow, So I don’t know about the rest of these guys, but I have visited young pups blog (Tanner) and I really enjoy his writing style. I wonder what these fellows think of being called a pube. lol
Looking forward to seeing what 2010 brings your blog.

I LOVE IT, GORDIE!!!
Look as all these handsome blokes! I’m familiar with many of your new pubes – and can’t wait to learn more (about the ones on your blog, anyway(!).
In the unfortunate happenstance of a bloke dropping out – keep me on the back burner. (And wow, back to NZ in July 2010? Very cool, I’ll be looking forward to hearing about your journey.)
Have fun gentlemen!

That’s why title is extremely important. It attracts readers!
I must say you do have a good sense of humor. It’s great to meet all the talented writers considering this is my first visit here. Looking forward to what the guys are going to offer. Have a inspiring year and best wishes~

Yes, that’s one reason I won’t switch to Disqus- it doesn’t work with CommentLuv. It’s also slow.
With any luck *I* will get to visit New Zealand soon. It’s only #1 on my list of places I want to go.
All the pubes sprouting up is a great thing! But we need to get some cool estrogen flowing around here too…
Hey Gina,
I think we’ll get some estrogen in future. Also, wait till after July before you come to NZ if possible. I’ll buy you a coffee.
What a funny comparison. I just had to see it and laugh. Keep up the good work.
